2017 20Time

20Time is starting again here in Gifted Honors English. (This website is new for me, so I will link to my previous blog that talks about last year's project) For those who don't know, 20Time is a project where you devote 20% of your time to a passion project of sorts. You do research and create a project based around it. For example, last year a friend and I created a short film about psychological manipulation. It was terrible and I despise it so please do not look for it.

Now, I am trying to figure out what I want to do for this year. The one stipulation we have for the project is that there has to be a societal impact. I think that means we have to reach a larger audience than just the classroom.

I have a couple ideas so far. One is to write for thirty minutes a night and create a novel that I would publish online. Another idea is to work with a classmate and publish a book composed of photographs and short stories that address some sort of social issue. We really aren't sure if that is what we are going to do or if we are even going to work together. That's where we're at, though. We are just trying to work through the idea phase.

That's really all I have to say at the moment . I have no definitive plan, but I'll get back to you once I do.
