Welcome to Mind Depictions! My name is Abby. I'm a person in a world where it feels like being unique is a challenge. If you think of something, it's probably already been done. That doesn't mean I'm not going to try.

I like to write. It makes me feel like I'm making steps forward. I have to push myself to be creative and it helps me hone my skills. I try to take any chance I can get to be creative. I'll pick the opportunities where trying to brainstorm new ideas is necessary and I can add my own spin to things. I also like to plan events for this very reason. For example, when we had a funeral for Romeo and Juliet, I was very involved with the music selection, the decorations, and the food coordination. Another thing I enjoy is reading because it inspires me to be creative as well. It makes me think that I could write a book, too.

This portfolio will most likely be primarily for my Gifted Honors English class. A lot of writing gets done in that class and if I'm going to measure my progress in any way, the assignments in that class are a clear choice. If I had to pick a less obvious choice, I would say my AP Human Geography work could end up here as well.

Throughout the years, I hope that this portfolio will become integrated into my regular life. Once school is over and done with, I hope I can use it as a way to see how far I've come. I hope it will become something I really enjoy having as not only a tool, but as a way to branch out and share my thoughts.
